Just me again.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the moment as we transition into summer and warmer weather.
As a farmer I am grateful for all the rain we have received. Here in central WI we have been in a green drought for 6 years. This year as in the past we have taken on the task of raising much of our own food and this year is no exception. We went a little overboard having started many plants from seed. We put in over 80 tomatoes, 60 variety of peppers, 30 rows of potatoes and so much more. I am again milking our cow, Bambi. She is so good in providing on average five gallons of milk a day. With that we feed our pigs, chickens(bread soaked in milk) and make pounds of butter. I feel very blessed to be able to live so close to the Earth even as many call me crazy for doing all this work. Who will be laughing in the end.
Here is a little more about what I see:
I see we ignore the issue of water. In 32 states fresh water is becoming a problem but we still keep using this valuble resource in excess and when the taps run dry we will just demand that they flow freely without ever considering where is all comes from. We have always had it so we have grown to expect it. That goes the same with fossil fuels, our grocery stores packed with produce, heat in winter and air conditioning in summer. We except it until it is all gone then we will blame someone else for what we have created.
We as humans are experts on the issues of minimizing, denying and blaming behaviors.
Learn to take responsibility and allow awareness of the world around you and all will be possible.

In Peace, Steven
